Grade 2 Science

Our science curriculum is based on the student’s curiosity. The student is able to explore the environment actively through a higher level of thinking. This scientific process encourages the student to investigate through observation and experimentation. They are able to predict, interpret and draw conclusions using data obtained. The curriculum includes the following areas:

• The Solar System (sun, planets, moon phases, comets, and asteroids)
• Animal and plant habitats
• Natural resources
• Dinosaurs and other ancient life
• Solid, liquids, and gases
• Germs
