Grade 3 Social Studies

The third-grade social studies curriculum discovers the role communities play in the past and present. The students begin by looking at past communities that eventually leads to the building of the United States government. Students will participate in two projects per year. The first project leads them to discover a Native American group, while the second project takes them on the Oregon Trail. Map skills are also an important aspect of the third grade curriculum.
