Grade 7 Social Studies

One semester is devoted to learning the foundations of government and what it means to be an American citizen. Students participate in debates on current issues. They have the opportunity to learn about the election process and the judicial system through activities and field trips as well as course work.

The other semester is focused on world geography. Understanding of other cultures, environmental resources and hazards, gross domestic products and map skills are topics covered.
