Grade 8 Social Studies

This American History course is designed to give students a brief look at the people and events that have shaped the nation into what it is today. While the discovery, colonization, the fight for the independence of America and the Civil War are important topics covered, more class time is spent learning about the twentieth century and current events. Students study World War I, the Great Depression, World War II and the Cold War in depth.
