Art and Music

Art

The art program includes a preliminary teaching of art principles along with experiencing media. The students are taught the techniques of handling various medias and are given the opportunity for enjoying the act of creating. Art instruction includes exercises in painting, drawing, and simple craft making; instruction in shape, color, form, texture, and the visual effects they create.

Music

Music classes seek to educate the whole child. Singing hymns and songs of many genres, as well as, reading music and rhythms are only a few aspects of our classes. Children learn how music relates to history, art, literature and dance. Creativity is encouraged throughout. These classes also provide opportunities to grow in self-esteem and moral character.
