Krissie Betbeze
Krissie Betbeze is the Overbrook guidance counselor. Krissie has been working with young people for over 10 years. After getting a master's degree in education, she began her career at Oasis Center, Inc., where she connected teenagers to volunteering and the community. She also coordinated the peer education program, in which teenagers were trained to counsel other teenagers. Krissie next worked as the Director of Program Services at Girl Scouts of Cumberland Valley. In that role, she oversaw a team that provided program activities to over 20,000 girls in 38 counties in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
Krissie then pursued a master's degree in clinical social work, and worked as a school counselor for Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Inc. In that role, she counseled students at St. Cecilia Academy. She now works full time on the Dominican Campus at Overbrook and St. Cecilia Academy.
Heather Cleland
Heather Cleland, librarian, received a bachelor’s degree in English from Berea College and a master’s in information sciences from UT. She holds a Tennessee Library Media Specialist endorsement for grades pre-k – 12.
Mary Dams
Mary Dams received a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from the University of Iowa and has done work towards a master’s degree in special education from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She has been a teacher/educational consultant for over 20 years as well as serving as Director for the State of Tennessee's 21st Century Training Program. Ms. Dams teaches K-8 computer classes at Overbrook.
Paulette Hatalosky
Paulette Hatalosky teaches music to grades K-5. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Hunter College in New York and a master’s degree in music education from New York University.
Jeanette MacCallum
Jeanette MacCallum, studied at Eastman School of Music and holds a master’s degree in music from Belmont University. She teaches handbells, choir, and general music to the junior high students.
Sherry Merideth
Sherry Merideth holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and performance and a master’s in violin performance. In addition to teaching band at Overbrook, she is the director of the St. Cecilia Academy private music lesson program, and teaches violin lessons in that program.
Katherine Morrice
Katherine Morrice is the Spanish and band teacher. She has an undergraduate music degree in clarinet performance from North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC; a master’s of music in clarinet performance from University of Massachusetts at Amherst; and a master’s of education (Spanish) from Auburn University. She is an adjunct faculty member at Aquinas College and has 19 years teaching experience. She is the mother of one Overbrook graduate and three current Overbrook students.
Ann Ripley
Ann Ripley returns to her Alma Mater as the art teacher. She received a bachelor’s of fine arts in studio art from the University of Colorado, a Certificate in Arts Administrations from New York University, and a master’s degree in art education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Jonathan Wilson
Jonathan Wilson teaches pre-k, kindergarten and fifth-grade physical education. Coach Wilson received a bachelor's degree in health and sports studies from Miami of Ohio and a master's degree in the art of teaching from Belmont University. He has been assistant executive director of Whippoorwill Farm Day Camp in Fairview, Tenn., since 2002. He is an Overbrook alumnus.
