A PRE K to 8 CATHOLIC SCHOOL SINCE 1936

Kindergarten

Within the kindergarten environment the whole child is educated spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. A positive self-image is fostered so that each child appreciates the unique person that God created. In appealing to the young child's sense of wonder and joy, it is hoped that the beginning of a lasting relationship with Jesus, as friend, is developed. The kindergarten is called to assist and develop the work of the parents who are the primary educators.

The kindergarten setting provides an atmosphere conducive to building a solid educational foundation and a love of learning. It is a preparation for first grade. Each child is encouraged to make choices, build responsibility, work with others cooperatively, and express ideas verbally and non-verbally. The students grow in learning to work independently, in following directions and in lengthening their attention span.

The kindergarten program provides the essential educational foundation for the child's future success in school. Through the conscious development of carefully planned instruction, the child is given an early mastery in areas essential to early growth and development. For more information, you may select any of these areas, from the list of web page links to the right.
