Overbrook Grade 8 Academics

Eighth-graders learn leadership at Overbrook School. The students spend their last year at Overbrook not only making their final preparations for high school and studying for the Sacrament of Confirmation, but also by honing their leadership skills in myriad ways.

Eighth-graders are the leaders of Student Council and solely make up the National Junior Honor Society. They take a leading role in the school’s spiritual programs as well with the alter server and prayer buddy programs. And, of course, eighth-graders are examples for all Overbrook children in all their actions on the playing field, on the stage and in the classroom.

The eighth-grade year is a busy and exciting one for children as they solidify the academic and spiritual foundation for life they have formed throughout their years at Overbrook.
