A PREK to 8 CATHOLIC SCHOOL SINCE 1936

Library General Information

The Overbrook library media center supports and enriches the curriculum with a collection of materials that meets the needs of the students and faculty it serves.

The current collection includes more than 11,140 books, audiotapes, periodicals, CD-ROMS, and videos/DVDs. Our computerized Follett system for circulation and cataloging of the Overbrook School Library collection provides an online catalog networked to all classroom computers for ease of access. For further research needs, the library also has access to the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL), a reference guide that provides full texts and abstracts from magazines and periodicals.

NEW! We have upgraded our online Accelerated Reader Quiz List to a searchable database.  Overbrook recently purchased a subscription to QuizList Interactive which is designed to help you and your child find a book to read that fits your child’s AR reading level and interests. Now parents, teachers, and students can search for AR quizzes by Title, Author, Subject, Points, and/or AR Book Level. Since it’s on our website, you can search from home, the public library, or anywhere with Internet access.  Print out a list of titles and bring them into the library. You do not need a password to use QuizList and you don’t need to create an account to search our AR Quiz List.

Click here to access QuizList Interactive.  Enter your child’s AR reading level in the “Book Level” fields – use a range of levels to find titles near the reading level, such as 5.0 to 6.0. Also, use the Subject field to narrow a search to books your child may be most interested in reading. Click “Get Books” and see how many titles are returned.  Click on the title to read more information about the book.

Titles may be saved to your “Printer List” by clicking on the check box next to the author’s name and then clicking “Add Selected Books” under the “My Printer List” heading on the side. Do several searches and add as many books to your printer list as you like. When you are done, click on “Print List” to send your selected titles to your printer.
