Meet Sister Joan of Arc

Sister Joan of Arc, O.P., teaches junior high religion. She holds a bachelor's degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame where she also played basketball. She is licensed in teaching history from Aquinas College and is working on the completion of master's degree in theology from the Augustine Institute. Before coming to Overbrook, she taught at St. Cecilia Academy and Knoxville Catholic High School. Read a Q&A with Sister.

Meet Ms. Luna

Meet Miss Luna

Miss Brandy Luna is the new prekindergarten 3 aide in Mrs. Siefker's classroom. She has a master's degree in elementary education and a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies with a music minor. Miss Luna graduated from St. Cecilia Academy and then went on to Samford University for undergraduate studies and Grand Canyon University for her graduate studies.
She worked as a student teacher at St. Bernard Academy. She is from a large extended family and most of them live in Nashville.

Meet Mrs. Meier

Meet Mrs.Meier

Mrs. Diane Meier joins Mrs. Wall in fifth-grade at Overbrook this year. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Xavier University and a master's of art in teaching from Aquinas College. She attended St. Henry School and St. Cecilia Academy. She has taught general music at several Catholic schools in Nashville and Cincinnati, Ohio. She also taught prekindergarten at Little Lambs Preschool and was a regular substitute teacher for the past two years while working on her graduate degree. In addition, she has taught private piano lessons for more than 20 years. She and her husband Erick have three children: Stephen, Thomas and Mary Cecilia. Read a Q&A with Mrs. Meier here.

Meet Sister Marie Noelle

Overbrook second-grade teacher Sister Marie Noelle grew up with “two loving and creative parents who encouraged my younger sister Melany and I during our childhood to always try new things, develop our talents, appreciate those of others to see every new experience no matter how difficult as an opportunity to grow and meet new friends.”  When Sister was 16, her brother Andrew, who is now in college, was born. Sister taught second grade in five different schools before coming to Overbrook, including St. Henry and St. Patrick schools in Nashville as well as schools in Owings, Maryland; Bolingbrook, Illinois; and Cincinnati, Ohio. She has an undergraduate degree in elementary education K-9 with specialization in language arts and art. She is currently working on a Master’s in theology. She attended Eureka College, Pontifical Institute of the Immaculate Conception, Aquinas College and Franciscan University. Read a Q&A with Sister.

Meet Mrs. Hess

Mrs. Helena M. Hess, a former teacher, mother and grandmother, is Overbrook's new ExtendedCARE director as well as admissions assistant. Mrs. Hess holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in education from Belmont University and Baldwin-Wallace University. She has previously taught at the Montessori Academy, and in Williamson County Schools, Franklin Special School District, and Lakewood City Schools in  Lakewood, Ohio. Meet Ms. Kroger

Ms. Danielle Kroger taught kindergarten in Florida and Atlanta before moving to Nashville in July. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master’s of Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, Orlando. Read a Q&A with Ms. Kroger.

Meet Mr. Agnew

Mr. Luke Agnew teaches Latin to students in grades 3-5 and sixth-grade science. He holds an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Penn State University. Prior to coming to Overbrook, he taught at St. Pius X School and St. Joseph School. He has one older brother and sister. He has live in Nashville for six years. Read a Q & A with Mr. Agnew.
