Preschool

Books, letters, colors, numbers, prayer, and playtime are the essential ingredients in Overbrook’s early childhood program, which began in 1986. In preschool, teachers guide students using the Montessori approach as they begin to develop skills that will lead to reading, writing, math and a life-long love for learning in preschool.
Overbrook provides a Catholic Montessori-based preschool program where children aged 3-5 learn through group lessons, one-on-one teacher guidance and independent work time. We offer P3 and PreK-4 classes in our preschool program. There are half or full-day options offered 3-5 days a week for P3 students and 4-5 days per week for PreK-4 students.

Overbrook's preschool program provides enhanced learning opportunities with all the resources of a K–8 school. Preschool students participate in music class with a certified teacher, physical education in the full gymnasium, storytime in the library and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in our Atrium. Suzuki violin classes are available after school from our private lessons program. Preschool and kindergarten students have their own play-based extended care with indoor and outdoor play, crafts, storytime and rest time. Drop-in and contract extended care options are available.

Overbrook offers one of the most flexible preschool programs in Nashville with two different standard dismissal options, early morning care, and aftercare options available from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Through a dedicated preschool Camp Overbrook, year-round preschool options are available.
