Lord Jesus Christ, help these athletes to be your friends and witnesses to your love. Help them to put the same effort into personal asceticism that they do into sports; help them to achieve a harmonious and cohesive unity of body and soul. May they be sound models to imitate for all who admire them. Help them always to be athletes of the spirit, to win your inestimable prize: an imperishable crown that lasts forever. Amen! – St. John Paul II

A Note from
Our Athletic Director
From our earliest days, Overbrook has maintained a strong athletic tradition of encouraging young men and women to practice, work together, and compete. Each year, I’m excited to see our students grow in the classroom and on the field.
At Overbrook we believe that athletics are an opportunity to teach values and characteristics that will help one succeed in life. It is our goal to develop fundamentally sound athletes who can continue on to complete at the high school level, while also growing and maturing into strong young Christian men and women. In practice, at meets, in tournaments, or with their teams, our student-athletes work hard throughout the year. I am encouraged to see the dedicated young men and women they are becoming.
Overbrook participates in the Nashville Diocesan Athletic Council sports league. Overbrook School sends students to play with a group of other students from area Catholic schools for wrestling, tennis, baseball and girls softball. These students form a team called Nashville Catholic that then plays other area schools in league play.
Fall sports for the 2020 school year have been postponed due to Covid-19.
