General new student information
All new families will be assigned a Parent Ambassador. The role of the PA is to help facilitate a smooth transition to Overbrook. They will be available to answer questions, will occasionally send information on events, and will look to include your child in summer activities. Playdates are often scheduled and you will be notified of those dates. You will received a call from your Parent Ambassador welcoming you. We did our best to match parents based on either grade of current children at Overbrook, past school attended, or other commonalty.
Call the front office for a copy of the information handed out at the May prekindergarten meeting.
Additional information will be provided at the kindergarten parent information night. Date is TBA.
Incoming first through eighth-grade:
Overbrook’s summer reading lists and math assignments are posted online. The librarian has also sent the list to Parnassus Books as an in-town option for purchasing books.
Incoming junior high (6-8):
Junior high language and band/choir elective information, click here. For your elective selection form please download the form linked above. Mail directly to the front office to Liza Downey or email back to firstname.lastname@example.org .
All eighth-grade students are required to perform service hours, and many choose to complete these hours over the summer. The service project should be at least 10 hours of service, to a specific person or group of people, with no reward or payment of any type in return. Students will be asked to reflect on the service, and see in it how they have grown in response to God’s call to love and serve the least of His people. A log of the hours served and a paper will be due in the fourth quarter of school. These service hours also count toward Confirmation for those students receiving the Sacrament.

Summer AR will take place on the following days and times this summer as listed below. AR will be located in the library.
Days: June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, August 14
Times: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Summer mailing coming soon
Overbrook will be send out an email every summer with all important information and necessary forms by the listed deadline. The packet will contain:
•student data sheet to be checked and finalized
•links to medical forms and volunteer forms
•information about supplies and the Parents Association
•ExtendedCARE policies and procedures
•information about after school activities and clubs
