Overbrook Classic Basketball Tournament
The Overbrook Classic is a long-standing basketball tournament that started in 1984 and welcomes public, private, and parochial schools across Middle Tennessee. The tournament is a beloved tradition that kicks off the basketball season for many schools in the Nashville area.
2026 TOURNAMENT: DECEMBER 7-12
Both 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade team registration is $175 thru 8/15; $225 after 8/15
Early-bird Team Registration Pricing Closes on August 15, 2026.
Team Registration Closes on November 30, 2026.

The early days of the Overbrook Classic began with just one gym and eight teams. The idea of the fundraiser/tournament quickly took hold, and the tournament grew to 64 teams and three gyms (Overbrook, St. Cecilia Academy, and Aquinas College gyms) at its largest. While the number of teams and participants has ebbed and flowed throughout its 40 years, what has remained constant is its meaning to the community.
VOLUNTEER
The Classic is a hands-on event, with many opportunities to volunteer. The tournament is a great way for Overbrook families to meet fellow families and deepen relationships in the community. Current OCS Parents will receive information on volunteering with the Classic closer to the tournament dates.
