Overbrook School, like many schools, is home to classrooms, a chapel, a gymnasium, and a library. Unlike any other private school in the Nashville area, Overbrook School is also home to a working farm. Various plants like cucumbers, pumpkins, watermelons, and tomatoes grow alongside sheep, chickens, and two cats. Spices such as thyme, oregano, and mint are harvested seasonally by the Overbrook community.
Encountering the wisdom and love of God through His creation, students participate in Beyond the Brook, a working farm located at Overbrook School. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is in action every day at Beyond the Brook. Students in preschool through 8th grade take part in planting, harvesting, and observing the care of the animals who call Beyond the Brook home.
Overbook families help in the care of Beyond the Brook by volunteering to harvest over the school breaks. Looking to sign up? Click here
