    Overbrook Catholic School
Nestled on 83 acres in the heart of Nashville, Overbrook Catholic School proudly educates young men and women of all faiths. Since 1860, the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia have formed Nashville’s students in academics, athletics, and religion. Overbrook Catholic School opened its doors in 1936 and now welcomes preschool students ages three and four through the 6th grade. OCS remains an independent Catholic school owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation in Nashville.

What began almost 10 decades ago as an elementary school in a two-story home on undeveloped property off Harding Road is now home to a thriving campus cultivated in the rich Catholic tradition and academic excellence. Students are presented opportunities inside and outside their classrooms to deepen their knowledge of the Creator, His creation, and of each person made in His image.

Overbrook Catholic School’s curriculum challenges children to think critically and master skills in all subject areas. The academic program follows a spiral curriculum which provides constant reinforcement of those skills and allows the students to develop a deeper understanding of the concepts presented. Then, from the knowledge of these foundational truths, other branches of knowledge and learning are formed and deepened.
