Student Life

After School Activities

Community life is an important part of the Overbrook experience. Students are encouraged to get involved in clubs, organizations and private music lessons as a way to form friendships, learn leadership skills, practice team work and explore their interests.
As students grow older, the organizations available to them grow, too. There are valuable lessons to be learned through the involvement in extra-curricular activities and Overbrook School believes these activities round out a child’s educational experience. Overbrook clubs range from academic and service clubs to game clubs.

The Non-Athletic After School and SCA Music Lessons Programs are available throughout the school year. The program offers the following activities and teams:
  • Forensics (5th-8th)
  • MathCOUNTS (6th-8th)
  • Spanish Club (6th-8th)
  • Competitive Chess (1st-8th)
  • Intro to Chess (1st-8th)
  • Eagle Readers (2nd-4th)
  • Eagle Readers (5th-8th)
  • LEGO: Simple Machines (3rd-4th)
  • Bike Club (6th-8th)
As the new school year begins, so does a refreshed music lessons program!  This program is available to Overbrook students and will take place in the newly-renovated studios in the music wing of St. Cecilia Academy.  The St. Cecilia Academy Conservatory of Music registration will reopen in November 2021.
