Camp Overbrook is a co-ed, summer camp offering a dedicated program for 3-year-old – Rising Grade 1 campers. We are committed to personalized and engaging experiences, with small groups and exceptional staff from our very own Overbrook employees.

  • Lunch and Allergy Information

    Campers should bring a sack lunch and water bottle. Campers will eat together and be supervised by camp staff. 

    Please inform Camp Overbrook of any food allergies by accurately completing the registration medical form. We maintain an allergy-sensitive environment and provide allergy-free snacks to those who request them. If a camper has a tree nut/peanut allergy, families will be notified to pack tree nut/peanut free lunches for that session. If there is a child with another life-threatening allergy, please contact the Camp Director to discuss appropriate care. 
  • P3-Grade 1 Explorers

    The 3-year-old to Rising 1st Grade program provides a structured environment filled with summer fun. Days are designed with theme-based activities, including guest visitors, STEM projects, art, and imagination play.

    *The program also offers a “Year Round” experience for our incoming and current PK families.
  • Before and After-Care

    Camp Overbrook is happy to offer before and after-care from 7:30-9 am and 3-5 pm. Campers will enjoy an afternoon snack, play games, and participate in various activities. Cost is $10 per day (before or after), $50 per week (before or after), $100 for both, and $15 last-minute drop-ins. 
  • A Typical Day at Camp

    • Before Care available from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. if needed
    • 8:45 a.m. – Campers arrive and settle in, setting their items in their cubbies and greeting their counselors and friends.
    • 9:00 a.m. – Circle Time: campers gather for a short story or activity and to share and learn the activities for the day
    • 9:15 a.m. – Campers participate in themed project for the week
    • 10:00 a.m. – Healthy snack is provided in a family-style gathering
    • 10:15 a.m. – Special guest/activity
    • 11:00 a.m. – Outdoor Play/Beyond the Brook Farm
    • 11:30 a.m. – Themed project
    • 12:00 p.m. – Lunch
    • 12:45 -1:00 p.m. – Half-day Pick-up/ Nap/rest period for full day campers
    • 1 - 2:30 p.m. – Nap/Rest time 
    • 2:30 - 3 p.m. – Outdoor play and Regular Pick-up for full day campers (After-care provided until 5 p.m.)
    *Campers must be three years old by May 31, 2021. Each small group will be led by an experienced Overbrook teacher as the lead counselor with a full-time assistant (sections will not exceed 14 campers).

  • Around the World (May 31 - June 4)

    Prepare your passports! Every day campers will greet a new traveler from a far off land and experience their country and all of its culture, including food, music, art, and celebrations!
  • Wilderness Explorers (June 7-11)

    Explore the wonders of our own backyard! Overbrook’s 83 acres hold so much to explore! From the trails to the creek, to the garden and the farm, campers will experience summer at its finest - in the great outdoors. We will set up camp, have s’mores, and care for our local wildlife. This week we will have special guests from Walden’s Puddle.
  • Imagine the Stories (June 14-18)

    Put on your imagination cap! This week is all about creativity, story-telling, basic literacy, and even a visit from the Nashville Library Puppet Truck! Guest readers will also join us for daily story-time.
  • Spectacular Scientists (June 21-25)

    Have you ever wondered how crystals grow? Campers will participate and conduct science experiments involving some of the earth’s natural wonders of air, water and basic minerals. We will also have a special guest scientist who will be sure to spark curiosity!
  • Community of Helpers (June 28- July 2)

    Look around! There are so many special helpers in our community! Each day, campers will meet and learn about some of our finest, including firefighters, police, and doctors. Campers will learn how they can be helpers too, especially using reduce, reuse and recycle!
  • Build it Bigger (July 12-16)

    How do we have houses, schools, and towns where we live? What home or work structure can you create? What can we create together? Campers will look at many ways to build structures and what makes certain structures work better than others, as well as what makes certain structures work well together in a community. This week we will have special guests with their machines that help them to build things better!
  • Wonders of the Galaxy (July 19-23)

    What wonders do the heavens hold? This week campers will journey into our solar system and beyond. Exploring our planets and stars, we will become astronauts and astronomers on our very own NASA team. We will collaborate with real NASA scientists and have a guest astronomer show us about the constellations.
  • Calling All Zookeepers! (July 26-30)

    We’re going on a safari to find endangered animals! Campers will journey around the globe to learn about exotic animals and how we can help protect them. Our special guests for the week will be the Nashville Zoo and some of their favorite friends.


Camp Overbrook 2022

  • Times: Half-day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Full-day 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $225 for half-day; $300 for full-day (multi-sibling discounts available)
  • Before and after-care available - $50 per week for before or after-care, $100 for both
