Congratulations to Overbrook School 8th grade student Annika Slinger on her recent essay contest win. Sponsored by Pope John Paul II High School, the essay contest invited students across the Diocese of Nashville to submit original writing in honor of Black History Month. Ms. Slinger’s essay was chosen as the 8th-grade runner-up.
Through a focus on advanced texts, cultivating higher-level, analytical thinking, and developing strong writers, Overbrook School’s Language Arts curriculum provides students an opportunity to showcase strong academic skills.
