Eagles Soar at NYA Region Meet!
On Sunday, October 2nd - nearly 20 of our Flying Eagles participated in the NYA Nashville Regional Meet at The Hermitage.

The Top 5 teams in the Elementary and Middle School Divisions earn an opportunity to compete in Knoxville in a state wide competition.

Our team of 3rd-5th grade girls ran their best races of the year and placed 4th! Earning themselves the opportunity to go to Knoxville. Paige Songy paced the Eagles with a Top 15 finish, and the team of Mary Margaret Krog, Lily Targun, Perpetua Bobos, and Helen Enstice all posted season best times to help ensure a great day for our Elementary girls squad.

The 3rd-5th grade boys came ready to compete as well! With 10 runners ready to take on the mile long course with vigor. JP Brothers, Quinn Sberna, Noble Curtiss, Ward Murphy, Benjamin Strickland, George Stempel, Peter Augustine, Jacob Tumanda, Nikolas Arrieta, and John Crosslin showed out well in a loaded race. Coming within one point of 3rd place and a trophy for the region meet. John and Quinn placed in the top 15, with Quinn taking home 4th place!

We had a trio of runners in the boys and girls middle school races, and Rita Mae Krog finished with a season best time, and qualified as a Top 25 runner, while Peter Perri, and Ethan Taber left the field of 6th,  7th,and 8th graders in their dust as they both placed in the top 15 and qualified for state themselves with a personal best two mile time under 13 minutes!

We are so proud of our Flying Eagles and are excited about the team and individual success that they are entering into the final leg of the season with!
